The Egypt Tourism Board and Sahara Global Joins Hand to Promote Egypt as a new MICE destination

Lucknow , July 18th, 2008 : The Egyptian Tourism Board and Sahara Global today announced its efforts in jointly promoting Egypt as the new MICE destination. The two groups organised a grand gala event ‘Sahara Global - Egyptian Nite’ at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi.

The event was organised with the intent of promoting Egypt as the hottest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) destination with state-of-the-art facilities and enchantments of grand tradition, history and natural beauty. It is targeted at the decision makers for incentive travel of various corporate houses across different industries that believe in rewarding their teams and indulge in Incentive travel for the achievers in their organization.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Romi Datta, CEO, Sahara Global said , “ The objective for this announcement is to make Egypt the most preferred MICE destination for the Indian Corporates. Our MICE programs are multifaceted and versatile and fulfill all requirements of a robust Incentives and MICE Program. Our role showcases and encapsulates budgeting, venue selection, management, cultural and social participation and marketing the Event on a global platform through our alliance partners.”

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Samy Mahmoud, Tourism Counsellor, Egyptian Tourism office said, “ It has been a constant endeavour of Egyptian Tourism Authority to develop and nurture the interest of all sections of Indian travellers in Egypt and our ‘Visit Egypt 2008’ campaign is part of this endeavour.”

The dazzling evening of fine dining, traditional Egyptian entertainment will be enticing the corporate big-wigs present to choose Egypt as their next destination for incentive and group movement. The evening entertainment will include traditional Egyptian dances Tanoura and Belly dance. Well known fashion designer Renu Tandon presented her latest collections in a fashion show later in the event.
