Sahara Global Launches Travel Show ‘Duniya Ki Sair’ on Samay News Channel

To promote State Destinations in association with State Tourism Boards

Lucknow, August 6 th 2008: SaharaGlobal, India’s largest travel service network under a single brand, today announced the launch of ‘Duniya Ki Sair’ (Travel the World), a unique travel show to be televised on the Samay Channel. The show will go on-air from 16 th August 2008 at 7.30 pm on Samay. ‘Duniya Ki Sair’ captures the art, culture, history, cuisines and other travel related information of destinations in India and world over through an extensive visual description.

Sahara Global is associating with various State Tourism Boards in India as well as International Tourism Boards to promote places of tourist interest in each of the Indian States at an all India level. The program showcases a different State of India every week through special episodes. The half an hour episode will showcase information ranging from art, architecture, culture, night-life, shopping areas, to the hotels, connecting airlines and the easiest way to travel to these destinations. The first two episodes will capture popular tourist destinations Goa and Madhya Pradesh.

The show will have 2 repeat telecasts during the week. The show will also be on air on the region channels of Sahara (U.P./Uttarakhand, M.P./Chhatisgarh, Bihar/Jharkhand, Delhi/NCR and Mumbai) which would lead to an extensive viewership across the country and also region wise. Samay is among the top five news channels of India and is viewed in 65 countries. Each travel destination will be telecast 18 times a week across the 6 channels of Sahara.

Duniya Ki Sair programme will also invite interaction with the programme viewers. The programme includes a contest for the viewers in which one can participate by replying to a quiz question through SMS to 57575. Participants are guaranteed to win a Reebok travel bag worth Rs. 1200 or other prizes which include wrist watches.
