Sahara India Pariwar extends helping hand to Orissa Flood victims

Orissa, 25th September 2008 : Sahara India Pariwar extended a helping hand to the flood affected victims of Orissa by donating Rs. 51 lac to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Shri Seemanto Roy, Head – Aamby Valley City and Entertainment Business, Sahara India Pariwar handed over the cheque to Hon’ble Chief Minister of Orissa, Shri Naveen Patnaik on 24th September 2008.

Sahara India Pariwar has always been at th e forefront in extending relief and rehabilitation to the families affected by natural disasters from time to time in India. We provided requisite services to the affected people during the earthquake of Latur and Bhuj, floods in the states of Assam, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, super cyclone in Orissa, drought in Rajasthan and the tsunami in the coastal areas.

As a result of our efforts for providing respite to those affected by Natural Disasters, Sahara India Pariwar has become a member of the National Corporate Task Force on Disaster Management constituted by National Disaster Management Authority
